Family & restorative dentistry
We talk through what we can see, what can wait, and what it will cost — then you decide. No treatment is booked in the same breath as the diagnosis.
Thursday evenings until 8pm and Saturday mornings, kept for people who can't take time off.
Every plan goes home in writing, itemised, with the option of doing nothing for now.
Longer first appointments where we examine, explain and stop — no instruments beyond a mirror.
How a first visit runs
Most people put off the dentist because they don't know what will happen once they sit down. Here is the exact shape of a first visit at Prism Crest.
We sit down properly first: what's bothering you, what happened at your last practice, how you feel about needles, and what you want your teeth to be able to do.
Teeth, gums, bite, jaw joints and soft tissues, with X-rays only where they change the answer. We describe what we find as we find it, and show you on screen.
You leave with a written plan split into what needs attention now, what we'll watch, and what is purely optional — plus the cost of each part before anything is booked.
Treatment index
Scan for the thing that brought you here. Chair times are typical for a single appointment; longer treatments are staged across visits.
The routine six or twelve month check with a polish, plus bite and gum screening.
For bleeding gums, tartar below the gumline, or anyone who has skipped a few years.
Decay, chips and worn edges rebuilt in tooth-coloured composite and shade-matched.
When a tooth is abscessed or the nerve has died, and you'd rather keep the tooth than lose it.
Heavily broken or root-treated teeth given a new biting surface made to measure.
Mild to moderate crowding and relapse after old braces, reviewed every few weeks.
Custom trays and professional gel used at home, after we confirm the staining will respond.
From the first tooth onward: counting, fluoride varnish, sealants and a ride in the chair.
Toothache, a lost filling, a broken front tooth or a crown that came off in food.
Not sure which line describes your problem? Describe it in your own words in the request form and we'll put you in the right appointment.
Comfort & anxious patients
A fear of dentistry is usually a fear of losing control of the appointment. So we hand the control over in specific, practical ways.
The care team
Small practice, same faces each visit. If you have a preference, say so in the form and we'll keep your appointments with them.
Principal dentist
Restorative work: rebuilding worn and broken back teeth, root canal treatment, and the long-term plans that keep a tooth rather than replace it. Marisol runs the Thursday evening clinic and takes most nervous-patient referrals from within the practice.
Dentist & aligner lead
Children's dentistry, cosmetic bonding and clear aligner cases, including relapse after teenage braces. Theo keeps the Saturday morning list and is usually the one who sees whole families in one booking.
Also in the building
Our hygienist takes referred gum care and longer cleans, and the front desk handles records transfers from your previous practice so you don't have to chase them yourself.
Fees, plainly
Dental costs feel unpredictable because they're usually quoted after the examination and in a hurry. Ours are quoted in writing, in advance, with the option to decline.
Each tooth, each procedure, each cost, on one page you take home. Where there is a cheaper reasonable option, it's listed beside the ideal one rather than left out.
Spreads check-ups, hygiene visits and X-rays across the year for a fixed monthly amount, with a reduction on most treatment. Cancel with a month's notice.
Larger plans can be split over several months so you pay per stage. We'll tell you which parts are genuinely urgent and which can wait without getting worse.
Current fees are confirmed when we send your plan, and your estimate is honoured for three months.
Common questions
No. Long gaps are common and usually have good reasons behind them. We examine, we tell you what we found in plain terms, and we build a plan in order of urgency. The first appointment is an examination only, so there's nothing to brace for.
Yes, from the first tooth. Early visits are deliberately uneventful: a count, a look, fluoride varnish if it's useful, and a go at raising and lowering the chair. Families can usually be booked back-to-back in one visit, and Saturday mornings are the easiest slot for school-age children.
Mention your previous practice in the request form and sign a short consent at your first visit. We'll request your notes and recent X-rays directly, which often saves repeating images. You don't need to have left them before booking with us.
We hold urgent slots every working day for pain, swelling, broken teeth and lost fillings or crowns. Say "pain" or "breakage" in the appointment type and describe when it started, whether it wakes you at night and whether anything is swollen — that tells us how quickly you need to be in.
Routine examinations and hygiene visits are recommended rather than postponed, and gums often need more attention during pregnancy. Non-urgent elective work is generally scheduled for afterwards, and X-rays are only taken when they are necessary. Tell us in the notes and we'll plan accordingly.
Let us know as early as you can and we'll move the appointment at no charge; late cancellations are only a problem because the chair time goes unused. If you're running late, come anyway — we'd rather shorten the appointment or re-book than have you miss it entirely.
Both, in that order. We stabilise anything that is actively damaging before cosmetic work, because bonding, whitening and aligners all last longer on healthy foundations. Cosmetic consultations are separate, unhurried appointments where we talk through what is realistic for your teeth.

We reply with a confirmed time, who you'll be seeing, and how long to allow. Nothing is charged or committed at this stage.
